The films industry in Tanzania is still in it’s infancy stages. Film viewing and art events can be a place where future filmmakers can showcase their works as well as learn how to become better story tellers.

A “Kikomela” is a sort of a flea market where local small vendors bring their goods for sale or barter. It is informal, but actual commerce happens. It is meant to promote local small vendors who otherwise would not get  exposure to showcase their products.  At the “Kikomela”, one does not need a “business” license as such, one shows up, lays the goods on the ground or table and commerce takes place. As simple as that. It is a win-win for a buyer and a seller depending on your bargaining skills level. We hope “kikomela” or “Omujajalo” will take place once a week.
